The Naked Mole Rat, 2018. A one-act durational performance, in which Ziba performs as a naked mole rat-humanoid assembling a greenhouse tunnel and room gallery over four days, eventually surviving the transition and battle; and ascending to the throne of the venerable Naked Mole Rat Queen.
She examine how myth can be used as an effective means of communication with audiences in order to create works that are more nuanced than what we typically see today. The work investigates home, power, and freedom inspired by both human and non-human animal’s plight for refuge.
The installation included musical compositions and sculptures.
